Kongskilde UK Ltd.
Kongskilde UK was established in January 1963 in the North Norfolk town of Holt. The company was started by a local farmer called Mike Darbishire, who in the late 1950's visited Denmark and came away impressed with the wooden Kongskilde grain bins he saw, so much so that he purchased one and had it installed on his farm. Within a very short period half a dozen of his farming friends had followed suit. Shortly after this KUK was established, selling a range of pneumatic blowers and cultivation equipment. KUK became the Kongskilde Group's fourth subsidiary outside of Denmark.
In 1977, having outgrown the original Grove Lane site, KUK moved to brand new purpose-built premises on Hempstead Road, on the outskirts of Holt. This heralded a period of rapid expansion during which innovative and class-leading products such as the Vibroflex and Germinator for Soil, and the SUC suction blower for Grain, established themselves in the UK marketplace.
Today KUK has a sales, service and parts division for SOIL, GRASS, SUGAR BEET, GRAIN and INDUSTRY. In addition the company has a production facility for VITFOSS, manufacturing tailor-made mineral mixes for livestock. Supported by strong European production facilities with excellent logistical and transport links, KUK is able to offer a comprehensive range of products throughout the different sales groups for both the UK and Irish markets.
